“I have strong feelings about the relationship of living creatures – I have always preferred to do figurative artwork showing humans and animals and especially the special bond that human beings have with their pets – their cats and dogs primarily – and the love and dependency they develop for one another. I love exploring these in my work – and I love to have women as subjects because of the colors and shapes that I find exciting.”
